GeneratOrd (pronounced 'generate-ord') is both a website and a recursive inscription standard created by the Fomojis Team, first used to create our Fomojis 2.0 collection. Our aim was to make this standard as general, reusable and accessible as possible, so it could be used by anyone to create a wide variety of super efficient collections.

Standard ordinal inscriptions are highly inefficient, so creating a large collection of images can be very expensive to inscribe. GeneratOrd uses recursive inscriptions to reduce the file sizes by 90% or more, which directly reduces the inscription fees. This makes it much more feasible to create large collections on Bitcoin.

Recursive inscriptions require complex JavaScript code, making it prohibitive for people without a technical background. GeneratOrd aims to fix this, making recursive collections accessible to everyone. The GeneratOrd website provides an automated way to generate all the files required to make a recursive collection that follows the GeneratOrd standard.
