If you are unsure if GeneratOrd is right for your collection, you can trial it out on a small test collection. Collections with 20 or fewer items are free to download, allowing you to trial GeneratOrd, and test out the recursion
A Generative collection is a collection that consists of a set of traits that can be layered on top of each other to create many different images. The traits are grouped into 'Trait Types' (e.g. Background, Head, Hair, etc.), with each trait type having one or more trait in it. Each trait is simply an image, and each item in the collection is made by layering together one trait from each trait type.
The process of creating your collection broadly consists of the following steps, each of which is explained in detail in it's own page:
To create a Generative collection, navigate to your profile page (you must have a GeneratOrd account to do access this, which you can create by simply connecting your wallet). On your profile page click Create Collection, and select Generative PFP Collection.
When you create your collection, you will be able to set its name by clicking on the name at the top of the page, or by clicking on the Pencil icon.
After creating your collection you will see a page with four Tabs:
Traits: This is where you configure all the traits for your collection, including
Uploading images
Setting names of traits and trait types
Setting the layer ordering of the trait types
Setting the rarity of each trait
Collection: This is where you will create and view the collection out of the traits you have configured. You can use GeneratOrd's automatic generation tools to create the collection automatically, or you can create your own custom collection and upload it.
Settings: This is where you can set several miscellaneous settings for your collection. Here you can:
Share the collection with others
Add custom onchain metadata
Set the images to be Pixel Art
Inscribe: This is where you pay for your collection and inscribe it. There are several different ways to do this depending on your requirements, and how you plan to launch your collection, so make sure to have a look at the Inscribing docs to better understand the options.
